DTS® steering system now also available in the Krone TX
Krone is now also using the contactless forced steering system DTS® from ME MOBIL ELEKTRONIK in its TX transport trailers. The technology is already used in the RX and ZX loading wagons, where it has proven itself over many years. The previous forced steering system with K50 ball is being completely replaced.
The DTS® steering system is based on an IMU (inertial measurement unit) mounted on the first axle of the transport wagon. The sensor detects the driving movement and calculates the required steering angle in combination with the direction and speed signals. If necessary, the steering can be manually overridden or locked. As speed increases, the system automatically reduces the maximum steering angle. At speeds above 50 km/h, the steering is locked to increase driving stability.
DTS®, which does not require sensors mechanically coupled to the towing vehicle and drawbar, eliminates the need for adjustment and calibration work on the drawbar. This makes it easier to change the towing vehicle and also makes the vehicle particularly interesting for machine rings and vehicle rental companies.
The DTS® steering system is a proven system solution with a high level of functional safety and impresses with its robustness in harsh everyday agricultural use.
