DTS® steering for JOSKIN transport vehicles
JOSKIN is expanding the equipment options for its transport vehicles with our contactless DTS® steering system. This means that steering, which does not require sensors mechanically coupled to the towing vehicle and drawbar, is now also available for tandem trailers with two steered axles.
The DTS® system detects the vehicle's movement and speed and controls the steering axles according to the driving situation. This eliminates the need for linkages or K50 coupling systems.
DTS® offers the following impressive advantages in practice:
- Stable tracking:Speed-dependent steering angle calculation ensures optimum driving stability.
- No adjustment required:No adjustment or calibration work is necessary on the drawbar.
- Flexible tractor change:The towing vehicle can be changed without additional adjustment effort. This is particularly advantageous for machine rings and vehicle rental companies.
- High maneuverability and robustness:Since no mechanical couplings such as linkages or K50 couplings are required, the maneuverability of the vehicle increases.
- Established system: DTS®has been used in various vehicle classes since 2021 and is now considered a tried-and-tested standard solution.
The project between JOSKIN and ME MOBIL ELEKTRONIK confirms the role of DTS® as an established forced steering system for trailer vehicles in a wide range of applications.
