Steer-by-Wire solutions are recommended where conventional orbitrol steering systems reach their limits. Mining vehicles are a good example: even the heaviest axle loads can be controlled sensitively using an electronic-hydraulic steering system.
It does not matter whether the vehicle is articulated or steering knuckle-steered. Our solutions provide the necessary precision and control under extreme conditions.
Flexibility in operation and assistance functions
Electronics facilitate the integration of new concepts:
- Assistance functions: Automatic lane guidance through tunnel tubes or pits is child's play.
- Operating concepts: Rotatable driver's cabs or the use of different control devices – whether steering wheel or joystick – are not technically challenging.
