EHLA® auxiliary steering systems from ME MOBIL ELEKTRONIK control one or more rear axles of a vehicle, thereby improving maneuverability and driving dynamics. While an auxiliary steering system does not influence the main driving direction, it makes a decisive contribution to vehicle stability - especially for long wheelbases or high axle loads.
The EHLA® auxiliary steering system features a modular design, including scalable hardware, software, and hydraulic modules. These modules can be optimally combined, allowing every specific variant of an auxiliary steering system to be implemented for your vehicle.
With the EHLA® portfolio, we have been successful on the market for over 30 years. Our customers include leading OEMs, conversion suppliers, and manufacturers of special-purpose vehicles.

Safety through fefined fallback levels
Fail-safe and fail-operational for every application
EHLA® steering systems from ME MOBIL ELEKTRONIK are designed for maximum operational safety. A key element is the fallback level, which is activated in the event of a technical fault. In the area of fail-safe fallback levels, several variants are available depending on the specific application.
Safe solutions for complex axle configurations
Reliable steering even in the event of a system or power failure
The EHLA® FailOp variant is fully redundant. It consists of two independent circuits, ensuring safe steering even in the event of a fault. The system automatically switches to the redundant circuit and remains fully operational.
For complex vehicles such as mobile cranes or large self-propelled machines, EHLA® Multi combines fail-operational and fail-safe steered axles. This allows multiple steering axles to be intelligently networked and controlled in sync.

Compliant with standards and future-proof
Developed for the highest safety and cybersecurity requirements
EHLA® steering systems from ME MOBIL ELEKTRONIK meet the requirements of ISO 26262 (ASIL D) and are approved under ECE-R79 for public road use. They are also prepared for ECE-R155 and R156 (cybersecurity), providing our customers with long-term operational future-proofing.
