Ready for EURO 7
The intelligent steering system for modern semi-trailers
► Up to 50% less tire wear due to reduced friction when cornering
► Reduced fuel consumption and emissions thanks to a demand-based system architecture
► Average power consumption of less than 250 W
► Maximum maneuverability with reduced operating costs
Strong partnership with BPW
Prepared for system integration
In close collaboration with BPW, we offer the EHLA® Semi-Trailer steering system as a coordinated system solution. BPW’s self-aligning trailing axles and forced-steering axles are prepared for easy installation and mounting of our steering sensors.
Combined with our component box, this creates an extremely compact plug-and-play steering system that can be integrated into your chassis with minimal effort.
EHLA® Semi-Trailer Comparison
Conventional steering systems often require compromises: Mechanical linkages place stress on the fifth-wheel coupling and add significant weight, while electronic systems rely on vulnerable sensors mounted on the kingpin. The EHLA® Semi-Trailer steering system resolves these issues through pure pulse and signal processing without a mechanical sensor on the kingpin.
Compared to mechanic / hydraulic displacement steering systems:
► Save up to 500 kg weight
► Reduce thickness of fifth wheel plate
► No steering force transmission required on fifth wheel coupling
► Significant reduction in tire wear and fuel consumption
► No mechanical calibration of straight-ahead position required
Compared to conventional electronic steering systems:
► No assembly of an angle sensor in the kingpin required
► No mechanical calibration of straight-ahead position required
► No damage to the fifth wheel sensor when coupling the semi-trailer
► Small packaging due to ultra-compact size of servo-hydraulic power pack
