In 2002, ME MOBIL ELEKTRONIK redefined the standard for steering systems in agricultural trailers. Electronic measurement of the drawbar angle made it possible to eliminate the sensor cylinder used in positive steering systems based on the displacement principle.
The technology was perfected with the introduction of the DTS® steering system in 2021:
- The sensor mechanically coupled to the towing vehicle and drawbar was completely eliminated
- This further simplified the handling of the trailer

Pöttinger uses contactless forced steering system in the Jumbo 8450 DB
In its 03/2024 issue, trade magazine profi subjected the Pöttinger Jumbo 8450 DB combination loader wagon to a thorough practical test. One focus was on the contactless forced steering system, which was used in series production for the first time in Pöttinger vehicles. The result speaks for itself: the experts were impressed by the DTS® system.
